The most important thing first
The seeker directory collects no personal information. It requires no account, no name, no phone number, no email, no address, and no free-text entry. There is no profile to create, no waitlist to join, and no record to unsubscribe from. Every real intake happens through Coordinated Entry, 2-1-1, or the named agency — and those conversations are not with us.
What is recorded from a directory search
When someone uses the seeker directory we save one anonymous demand signal consisting only of:
- Situation category (e.g. veteran, recovery, domestic violence, youth, senior, priced-out)
- Area — either a ZIP selected from a list or "somewhere in Bexar County"
- Household category (just me · with kids · with a partner or roommates)
- How many programs were shown
- Whether the person indicated taking a handoff (tapping the phone number or link)
- The ISO calendar week the search occurred
We use this to see where and for what situations supply is short, so that infrastructure can follow documented demand.
What is not recorded
- No identity — no name, email, phone, date of birth, housing history, or narrative
- No user account, no session cookie, and no stitching of searches into a session over time
- No browser fingerprinting and no advertising identifiers
- No storage of IP addresses in our database
- No third-party analytics or tracking cookies on public pages
Cloudflare (our edge network) may log IPs and coarse geography at the request level for security and abuse prevention; those logs are controlled by Cloudflare, not by us, and are not joined to the anonymous directory signals.
Provider form (/provider)
The property-owner matcher is opt-in. The initial match runs against program data without saving anything. If an owner then chooses to submit the "talk to Throughline" form, we collect only what the person voluntarily typed — typically name, email, and organization, along with the property address and basic characteristics they entered. We use that to reply to that person. It is not posted or listed anywhere. It is not shared with advertisers or data brokers.
Cookies
Public pages (/, /find, /es/find, /provider, /es/provider, /privacy, /terms, /accessibility) set no tracking cookies and load no session analytics. The only application cookie is a functional session token placed after an authorized team member signs into the internal workspace on throughlinehousing.com; it is never set for a public visitor.
Sharing
We do not sell data and we do not share data with advertisers or data brokers. Information voluntarily submitted by property owners is retained only to reply to them. We may disclose information if required by valid legal process (for example, a court order).
Your choices
Because the directory does not ask you for information, there is no personal profile to view, correct, or delete. If you submitted the provider form and would like us to remove what you sent, email throughlinehousing@gmail.com and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes substantively, we will update the "last updated" date above and — when the change is material — post a note in the footer for 30 days.
